EDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES,
QUALIFICATIONS
·
Master’s
Degree in related field or equivalent.
·
Five
or more years of exemplary teaching experience in
a secondary school setting.
·
Minimum
of three years related leadership experience.
·
Experience
in leading system improvement in instructional areas at the school and/or
county level.
·
Complete
working knowledge of MSA and HSA requirements as related to NCLB.
·
In-depth
understanding of the Core Learning Goals.
·
Experience
coordinating and overseeing extended day and/or extended year programs.
·
Demonstrated
knowledge of current instructional and curricular methodologies.
·
Experience
in the development and implementation of school improvement plans.
·
Experience
in the planning and management of instructional meetings.
·
Assist with the creation,
revision, and implementation of high school curriculum and/or courses of study
·
Participates in high
school instructional meetings including High School Instruction Team (HIT)
meetings, High School Resource Teacher (HSRT) meetings, INS Program meetings,
and other Division of Instruction meetings
·
Assist with the review of
all HSA related assessment data, along with the development and implementation
of instructional implications and work with school-based personnel and content
specialists to identify high school needs based on data
·
Assist and supports high
school instructional programs such as Extended Learning Opportunities and High
School Summer Academy.

The

following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to
have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the
ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry,
move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good
hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to
grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is
required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Reasonable
