QUALIFICATIONS

Capacity
to perform routine clerical procedures.

human relations skills.

organizational and communications.

Basic knowledge of library organization.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Experience in use and operation of various
electronic equipment.
·
Maintains automated circulation system and/or
online public access catalog.
·
Shelves books and keeps the media center orderly
and inviting.
·
Assists students in developing enjoyment and
knowledge of the media center and its resources.
·
Performs other duties as specified by the Library
Media Specialist.
·
Carries out media program in the absence of the
Library Media Specialist.
·
Regular on-time attendance.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
·
High School Diploma required.
·
Experience
working with children.
·
Basic
computer skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS
The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (life, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
