QUALIFICATIONS
·
Working
knowledge of WAN technology and terminology.
·
Knowledge
of Cisco switches and other Cisco equipment highly desirable.
·
Ability
to multitask in a fast paced environment.
·
Ability
to learn new tasks quickly such as IP telephony and various video applications.
·
Working
knowledge of network and WAN security.
·
Knowledge
of workstation setup and troubleshooting.
·
Some
experience supervising other employees.
·
Help
install and configures gigabyte switches.
·
Help
install and maintains an IP telephony solution to include installation of IP
phones.
·
Help
setup video servers and help with new video applications.
·
Help
install and maintains new voice mail system.
·
Assists
in the maintenance and monitoring of wide-area-network.
·
Help
in setup and configuration of Cisco security solution.
·
Supervise
cooperative education students and interns as necessary.
·
Install
components of advanced wide-area-network.
·
Help
with server and workstations issues as needed.
·
Regular on-time attendance.
·
Performs
related duties as assigned by the Director of Technology and Chief Information
Officer.
·
Associate’s
Degree in a computer field or equivalent experience.
·
Two
years experience working in network environment with Novell and Microsoft
experience.

REQUIREMENTS
The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
