TITLE I INSTRUCTIONAL SPECIALIST

TECHNOLOGY

11 MONTHS

 

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:   Title I Elementary Schools Level, Central Office based, Full-time

 

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

·        Minimum of five years of successful elementary teaching.

·        Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience with technology preferred.

·        Master’s Degree and/or Advanced Professional Certification (preferred).

·        Computer literacy skills and knowledge of integration of technology in a classroom setting.

·        Knowledge of Best Practices in Instruction and Instructional Methodologies.

·        Evidence of exemplary abilities.

·        Evidence of exemplary interpersonal skills.

·        Evidence of exemplary organizational and planning skills.

·        Bachelor’s degree and meets Highly Qualified certification requirements as established by the Maryland State Department of Education.

·        Other experience as established by Maryland Law and Board of Education policy.       

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

·        Plans and delivers staff development at Title I schools.

·        Holds team and/or content planning meetings to assist Title I Instructional Technology teachers with planning, pacing and examining student work.

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard.
